Pretty Scarf Giveaway for UK Readers

This is a letter from Bego, who won the salt tasting kit giveaway and had me send it to a U.S. friend:

Hi Swistle,

Hope you’re doing well!

I have a proposal for you. My boyfriend’s mom gave me an extra present this Christmas with the following note:

“To: Bego, This is NOT A Christmas present. I won it from M&S but it really isn’t my colour. If you like it then keep it. Otherwise pass it on to a friend!”

Well, turns out it’s not really my colour either. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a lovely, lovely coral colour -I’m just not a pink person. So, I wondered if we could do a UK giveaway on your blog since I don’t have one myself? We can do it whenever you feel like it and I’ll happily post it to anybody in the UK only (you know, postal charges etc.).

Pictures attached. The scarf looks pink in the pictures (on my monitor at least) but it’s really more of a coral shade. It might also be worth mentioning that it’s new with tags and hanger and everything.

If it’s not your thing I can ‘just’ give it to someone else. But this would be so much more fun!

Happy New Year!!

Bego

And I agreed, which brings the rest of you up to where we are now. The important things to note:

1. This is a UK giveaway. So if you live in the UK or know someone in the UK to have it shipped to, this one is for you!
2. It’s more coral than pink, even though it looks more pink.

To enter, leave any comment; if you like to have help thinking of something to write, Bego suggests “What were your favourite bits of 2014?” We’ll pick a winner on Monday, January 5th, 2015!

I’d really rather not talk about 2014 as there weren’t a whole lot of “best bits”, but I really would love to win this scarf as almost all my closest (meaning “best”, not geographically) friends live in the UK…
Happy 2015 to you, Swistle, and also to Bego!

My son Charlie (Charles Marshall— I figured you might be curious about the first and middle name) was born in 2014! My husband’s aunt lives in the uk.

My favoUrite bit of 2014 was delivering my daughter, Cecily Julianne, on a staircase in June. My little sister just met her for the first time last week since she and her husband live in Chorley in England. I’d love to win her a surprise scarf for funsies. :)

    How sweet!

My Mum lives in the UK and it would be fun to win it for her, since I’m in the US now and haven’t been to visit since 2003!

Ooo ooo I live in the UK! In 2014 my MIL got the all clear from breast cancer and my fifth baby, Peter Benjamin was born. I have been looking at old swistle entries to deal with the shock of being a mum to 5 kids. And looking at the babyname site too (I didn’t write in because we don’t live in theUSA butany suggestions fora nickname for Peter other than Pete?)

The best bit of 2014 was seeing my oldest daughter’s village in Ethiopia for the first time. Second best bit was moving to London- and related to the move, finding out that I can buy jersey knit harem pants for £3 at my neighborhood market. Good-bye, yoga pants.

I became a doctor and moved out of London for the first time – both incredibly scary prospects at the time, but I can honestly say this is the happiest I’ve ever been! A new scarf would keep me nice and warm on my walk along the chilly seafront to work!

I’m eligible as my SON lives in the UK. Best part of 2014? My son finding how much he adores going to school in Scotland. He is so happy that it makes me cry! And he would be happy to take delivery of the scarf for me….

I live in the UK and coral is my colour!

My favourite bit of 2014 was my 11 week scan on Christmas Eve when I heard our baby’s heartbeat for the first time and saw him/her bouncing around on screen. It’s the first time we’ve got this far after 5 losses so the feeling was incredible. Fingers crossed, 2015 will be the year we’ve been waiting for.

Favorite bits of 2014 include a cross-country move with our four kiddos this summer to a magical place where water just falls right out of the sky, the birth of our fifth–a girl we named Claire, and so many happy little things along the way. My niece just left for the UK as a missionary…would love to win the scarf for her!:)

Best wishes to Amber on her pregnancy! :)

OMG this scarf is absolutely stunning, I dont have any pink (or coral scarves yet) well I only have 2 scarves as only recently started wearing them. My fave part of 2014 was creating lots of memories with my 2 beautiful girls and I will continue to do so this year :D

I’ll choose some really British best bits… Staying overnight in a special flat inside the Tower of London grounds…. Tea at the Ritz ( although it wasn’t the best afternoon tea I’ve had by a long shot)… Listening to my sons year one class sing “little donkey” my new favorite Christmas carol. Thanks!
