Schylling Musical Hand Bells. This is what we chose for our niece. My brother is very musical so I passed the idea by him first, to make sure these were more like musical instruments than like toys, and he said they looked great. Each bell has the note stickered on to the handle, and there are little song instructions.

i am SO GLAD you are moving them over. SO GLAD. right now i am reading through the archives as i type and adding things to my amazon cart (already at $350, which certainly seems realistic on a nanny’s salary, when she cannot afford groceries some weeks) and i have MORE TOPICS for you to cover: overly intellectual dads who have read LITERALLY EVERYTHING, 14 year old boys who hate most things because, 14 year old boys; and brothers-in-law who love golf and are really sweet and totally impossible to buy for.
