Abby & Emma Deluxe Magnetic Dress-Up, $10. I bought this for Elizabeth to give as a gift at the next birthday party she goes to, but maybe I should have gotten one for her, too. In fact, I think I will, right after I finish here.
Bake and Decorate Cupcake Set, $10. My mom bought this for the kids to play with at her house, and it is pretty much the biggest success ever. The only thing I wish were different is that the cupcake papers are ACTUAL cupcake papers. Downside: those are going to need to be replaced pretty regularly. Upside: easy and cheap to replace. Still, silicone would have been better and smarter for a children’s toy, I think. I bought one for a future party gift anyway. $10 is EXACTLY what I like to spend on a birthday party gift.
Deluxe Picnic Basket Fill & Spill, $10. These are so great for babies.
Deluxe Sandwich-Making Set, $10. This is the one _I_ want to play with.
Okay, enough messing around! You don’t need me to show you every single one while they sell out under your feet, when you can just as easily go look for yourself

Okay, seriously, you just saved me beaucoup bucks. You know what my plan for tonight was? To go buy my daughter a M&D magnetic dress-up doll and food. Done and DONE. (Um, sorry local toy store. I’ll still stop in tonight for some toys for the baby.)
Oh! Just bought the fill and spill basket for the baby, plus the cupcakes and food cutting set for… next Christmas? Her second birthday? A gift for a friend? WHATEVER.

Can I just say it really irks me that they are not available in Canada via Amazon? IT IRKS ME!!!! I can go to our local toy store and buy them in person for $30-45 each if I want, but I can’t order them from amazon.com!

I seriously dithered for half an hour between the sandwiches and the sushi. But I went with the sandwiches in the end, thanks for pushing me over the edge. This is going to be Eli’s prize at the end of “Go On A Treasure Hunt” in the advent calendar. I love love love that they come in their own self contained crates and boxes.
I LOVE Melissa & Doug toys! I got an email from Amazon this morning about the deal (I love their stalker feature, which tracks the things that you buy and alerts you to sales). I bought the sandwich kit (love!) the clock, and the letter puzzles. One of each for my daughter, and several more as gifts.

I saw that this morning. But I can’t take away my aunt’s love for buying my son M&D stuff. She gets him a new set every year. He has some nice sets from them. They are always big hits too.
