Oh, I am SO enjoying your input on the SIL/house situation. Each and every comment is like a soothing salve. A balm! Some sort of medicated ointment!
And it’s SO helpful to hear all the different angles laid out so clearly.

Cat love continues:
He’s resting his head on her fluffy tail. Her back paws are getting all up in his grill, but he doesn’t mind.
Much different body language in this scene. Mouse’s body language communicates: “I should NOT have to share my favorite chair but DANGED if I’m going to be kept off of it.” Feather’s communicates oblivion of any political issues, but on the other hand she’s keeping her tail to herself. Possibly her paw pads are chilly.
I posted yesterday that you should give her the house and I still think that but something occurred to me last night….
I think if you give it to her you should have a legal contract or document drawn up that states she is the owner and by taking this home from you she agrees that you are no longer responsible for any upkeep or anything pertaining to the house. I would hate to see you give her this wonderful gift and then her still come after you for stuff and drive you nuts :)
Have a great weekend!
What an adorable picture. I so wish my kitties would curl up and sleep together. But after 10 years, I guess that just isn’t going to happen.
Those cats are too cute.
