I hate having a bunch of stuff to deal with first thing in the morning: full trash can, full clean dishwasher, cat food container empty. And Paul often leaves a bunch of stuff on the counters from projects the night before: open science books, bowls of crystallizing substances, pans with thermometers in them. So irritating!
This project detritus I mind less:
(Plus, he unloaded the dishwasher.)
Yummm!
You hit the jackpot with him unloading the dishwasher!
Generally I’m the same, but have learned to turn-on even when handwash dishes are not done before bed. I think I’m getting old.
Keep him!
I’ll take two, please.
He unloaded the dishwasher? I can safely say that will NEVER happen in my house. Not that cinnamon buns are a remote possibility either…
OMG those look so good, and an unloaded dishwasher! Awesome!
I think I just fell in love with your husband a little bit. It’s cool, though: just gimme a cinnamon roll or two and I’ll back off.
Huh! Forget the cinnamon buns, the Man UNLOADED THE DISHWASHER!!!!! You lucky, lucky woman!
Is that one of those butter crock thingees? Amazon keeps insisting that I buy one, but it sounds like a lot of work what with the little water reservoir and blah blah. I usually just keep my butter out on the counter and take my chances.
Mmmm….is that butter or cream cheese icing? Either way…mmmm….
I WOULD LIKE TO HELP YOU DEAL WITH THIS DETRITUS YOU HAVE.
holy crap. WANT. i’ll totally clean the pan for you if you let me eat the rest of those.. :-)
Wow those look amazing. Next time he wants to work on a project like that, send him over to my house!
Mmmm, much better than the peanut butter toast I served this morning. And if husbands only understood that unloading the dishwasher is such a turn on they’d do it a hell of a lot more often.
Tess- Non-crock/water—just a sugar bowl (I think) that I keep butter in on the counter.
Nicole- It is butter, because we didn’t think butter in the rolled-up dough AND butter on the bottom of the pan (mixed with more sugar and cinnamon) was SUFFICIENT BUTTER for us.
Oh man. I NEED one. NEED IT!
mmm!
My husband does the same thing with his little projects, toy rockets, tools, science experiments…
I’ll be right over! Ta!
Were they delicious? I have been toying with the idea of trying to make them from scratch, using the bread maker I just remembered that I had in the basement.
It seems like a lot of effort but, they look goooood.
Yum!
TNG- They were pretty good, good enough that I ate….quite a few. But the recipe still needs work: they seemed undercooked, and the sugary part was grainy.
Is it wrong that when I see this post title my first thought isn’t cinnamon-sugar doughy goodness—- it’s Star Wars?
Just me, then?
Ah, you will have to share the recipe when you get it hammered out. Have you tried the Pioneer Woman’s cinnamon rolls? So good that I ate sooo many that…I *still* never want to eat them again.
But really. So good. :)
I would have been happy with the unloaded dishwasher…but cinnamon rolls that’s a great day!
