Cute Shirt Alert

Yesterday the kids spent about six hours playing with an office chair and three empty rolls of tape. What’s next, playing with the box the toy came in? Sometimes I think children have turned my life into an embarrassing cliche.

Look at this cute shirt I bought:

Rob saw it and said scornfully, “It looks like a SPORTS shirt.” But do you see what it says? “Junior Scientists of America.” And those are, like, atoms zooming around the A. Hee! I bought it in 12-18m (or did I get 18-24m?) (like it matters) for Henry and in 4T for Edward.

I’m a little peeved, though, to see they are now $3.99, since that was what I paid for them AFTER a 15% off coupon, and I was feeling all triumphant about it. I’ve noticed with Old Navy that either there is a 15%/20%-off coupon, OR everything is 15-20% off. Well-played, Old Navy. Well-played. Now perhaps I will also have to buy the grey “mathletes” version:

“Cuter than the sum of our parts,” it says.

Zachariah has the Jr. Mathletes one. I thought it was great. I almost bought it full price, but descided against it. Then I found it about a week after that on sale for $4. I grabbed it and bought it right then. I LOVE it.

**He he, as I’m typing this my son looks over my shoulder and says “that’s Zacky’s shirt”. See he likes it too!

Dude, I remember when I thought office “twirly” charis were the MOST FUN THINGS EVER! And those shirts are precious! “Cuter than the sum of our parts” – HAHA! That is awesome!

I have found that if Old Navy drops a price they will give you a price adjustment if you call. Can’t hurt to try… :>

I saw both of those, since I am an Old Navy addict but I bought the ones that said, “Dad’s first round draft pick” and the gray one that had a ribbon, “Voted Best Dressed.” I love all of ON’s graphic tees.

Swistle, you are taking over my brain. Last night, I made your muffins. Today, I rushed to oldnavy.com to buy those shirts. How ’bout giving me tomorrow off, huh?

Oh man, thanks for the heads up about the Junior Mathletes t-shirt. My brother-in-law was a Mathlete and his wife (my sister) teases him about it all the time. Their baby totally needs that shirt. Off to Old Navy.

Ha! That is funny, I was commenting to thank you because my husband was a Mathlete and I tease him about how being a Mathlete so does not get you laid, but then I looked up and saw my sister(hotch potchery) already said that, and is buying the shirt for my kid! score!

The shirts really are cute, and the boys are beyond words. BUT, is anyone else bothered that the boy ones are all mathlete and scientist and save the environment, and the girl ones are all sweet and sassy and LOL?

Eva- Sure! It also cheeses me off that I can’t find dinosaur shirts for my girl who likes dinosaurs, even though there’s plenty of boy dinosaur stuff. And as with the dinosaur shirts, I don’t see any reason the scientist/mathlete ones can’t be worn by girls.

I went to old navy today to buy the shirts (I thought they were AWESOME and so did my math/science geek husband) but I couldn’t find them and the stocking person I asked didn’t have any idea what I was talking about!!! It seems silly to order them online since they are only 3.99 but the shirts were so fun. What to do…
