I’d say the enthusiasm is dying down for pay-it-forward stuff, so if you still need to have a contest have it quick! I’m going to stop doing updates here pretty soon.
We need to do the results for Lorraine’s contest. Lorraine writes:
Ok, 18 comments…random number generator is 7 year old son…and the winner is lucky number 17! “A” in Arizona! Congratulations! I’ll send out the parcel as soon as I get the address info~!
“A” in Arizona—email me (swistle at gmail dot com) and I’ll forward your email address on to Lorraine.
Living and Learning is showing the giftie she got (from Australia!) and starting a new contest.
Walking on Sunshine is showing the giftie she got and starting a new contest.
Pickles & Dimes is showing the giftie she got.
It’s too bad enthusiasm is waning, because I still have two more to do after the current one, which ends tomorrow! Oh well — I think it just means that one of my regular readers will have a better chance of winning. I’m thinking about adjusting the last two and asking people to Pay-it-Forward in good faith in any way they might choose, so it wouldn’t have to be a blog giveaway. I feel like it’s still in the spirit of the original rules, but opens it up to people who feel they can’t host their own contest, for whatever reason.
It was a good run and a lot of fun. Thanks for starting it!
These have been great fun! :)
It has been fun doing this. I’m hoping people will keep the contests going. I know I still have 2 more to hold of my own. But if fewer people are signing up, then that gives them a better chance to win.
This worked out well to cure some of the summer boredom. Maybe we should try it again next year. :D Thanks for posting everything, Swistle.
I dont think the enthusiasm is as low as it seems, but that more readers of readers have been winning and possibly doing other things instead of hosting their own contests, maybe?
I won Whimsy’s plain white box pif and Im going to be doing my own now today or tomorrow…this is a really neat one where we use the same box each time and every winner adds something to the decoration.
Its too bad some of the others are ending, but this one will hopefully be going for awhile.
I can’t wait to start doing holiday themed PIFs (Halloween!).
For the sake of The Plain White Box (and my unfulfilled childhood NEED to see how far my balloon would go) – I’m really hoping that at least this one PiF will continue.
But seriously, thank you SO MUCH, Swistle! You are personally responsible for HUNDREDS of good-feeling contests on the web.

Since I don’t really have a readership per se,(contest was up for two days with no entrants LOL) and you’re going to stop announcing them here (Thanks for doing it for as long as you have!) I’m going to do both my contests at once :) SO now everyone who comments has TWO chances to win!
Thanks for hosting the contests. It has been so fun.
