(I don’t know what the answers to any of these MEAN. They just seem like they mean SOMETHING.)
If there’s a bag of mixed candy, do you eat only the kinds you like, leaving the others? Or do you make yourself eat all the kinds?

If I am at a party I force myself to eat all the kinds. But at home, only the ones I like. Actually, since I am the mom, I usually hoard the ones I like and everyone else gets the ones I dont like!
tooootally depends on the KIND of candy.
Also? I do not buy bags of mixed candy if there ARE things in it that I don’t like, so presumably I am eating it on Halloween or at someone else’s house (my parents), and it doesn’t really matter if I eat only the ones I like.
Which, I probably will.
Also? MMMM, CANDY
Both.
For every two or three favorites I eat, I make myself eat a non-favorite. Then, I’m not left with just a pile of non-favorites.
Or, I store the non-favorites for when I’m having a terrible day and even a crappy candy is still uplifting.
I eat more than just my favorites, but if it’s a flavor I truly dislike (bubble gum, black licorice) I don’t eat it.
If it is a bag I am sharing (like with the kids and hubby) I eat my faves first and let them have the yuckies.
If it is a bag just for me (like starburst) I eat my least favorites first and save my favorites for last so it ends on a good note.
Usually I eat it all, unless Im sharing with the kids anyway.
I eat the ones I like first and then maybe the rest unless they really don’t interest me in which case I throw them out and start fresh with a new bag!
I would eat the kind I like, and then if I had nothing else when I was done with it, I would eat the kind I didn’t like so much.
Because I have no shame.
I eat the kinds I like. And then once they’re gone I might start on the others. But usually not. At least not since I started WW.
I only eat the ones I like!
only the ones i like! candy is only good to me if i love it. otherwise it is the beginning of a spiral into depression.
i love the personality tests!
I eat the ones I like and leave the others. The only time the ones I don’t like get eaten is if the ones I like are gone, I’m jonesing in a particularly bad way for a sugar fix and I can’t go to the store because a kid is napping or something.
I probably only eat the ones that I like. Or at least I eat the ones that I like first. But if I’m still hungry, I go back and eat the rest too.
I eat the ones I like. The others I’m busy throwing out right now as I’m packing up my cupboards and finding my leftover stash of second-rate Christmas candy.
Eat only the ones I like, leaving my favorite for last.
I eat the kinds I like, but also the kinds I sort of like. I don’t eat the ones I don’t like. My husband will eat those.
Just the kind I like. Someone else probably likes the kind I don’t like. But, if there’s nothing but stuff I don’t like much, that becomes fair game.
Just the ones I like. I’m super selfish that way.
I’m a teacher and there is ALWAYS a basket of candy in the middle of each table at staff meetings. I try to eat ALL of the ones I like as quickly as possible before anyone else can get to them so that everyone else is left with the junk candy! Also, in college my roommates and I had this philosophy that you couldn’t worry about how fat you got if you ate the candy as quickly as possible. Once it’s gone you never have to worry about it again! That didn’t work very well, but it was fun!
I eat only what I like. In fact, when I buy candy for my desk at work, I pull out and hoard my favorites.
I’m totally a pick-what-I-liker. Does that make me selfish? :)
I was going to say “just the kinds I like” … But Melissa (comment #1) makes a good point. I try not to pick through other people’s food.
Why would I eat something I didn’t like???
I would only eat the good kinds. The yuck kinds are worth the calories!
Only the kind I like. Why torture myself with candy? And is that even possible?
Ok, this will make be hated by all…
I break them open, and if they arent the kind I like I press them back together and forget that I touched it.
If I can give the yuckies away then I do. If I’m alone it all depends on how hungry I am. Typically, though, I don’t eat what I don’t like.
Seriously? You’d eat candy you dono’t like? Me, I’m eating all the good stuff and leaving the rest for the other suckers out there. I’m a mean mean lady.
If the candy is at my house, I’ll eat the stuff I don’t like, but if it’s at a party, I’ll pick out the ones I like and leave the others. I don’t know what that means…
Only the kinds I like
I’m infamous in my family for eating all the “best” flavors of Jelly Bellies out of the vat and leaving all the popcorn and coconut ones (EW) behind.
Life is way too short to eat bad candy. Even at parties or Bunco, I pick out the yummy ones and leave my rejects for others.
This may be why I haven’t been invited to as many social events lately.
I have a tendency to pick through and only eat what I like.
However, if I was on the border about something, then I’d go ahead and eat it too.
But for flavours or textures that I truly abhor, I would definitely only pull out the candy I enjoy.
(These personality tests were SO fun! I love how you ask questions on your blog and get lots of response, it’s such a great, fun time! Thank you!)
I eat the ones I like first. THEN I get desperate eventually and eat the rest.
I would only eat the kinds I like and give away the ones I don’t.
only the kinds i like.
I’m with devan. It’s like draft picks – I go with the top choices first, and then the ugly leftovers later. :)
I am SHOCKED at all of the people who eat candy they don’t like! That seems…unnecessary!
I am pretty good at applying the sunk cost theory to food, so I would throw away candy I didn’t like.
Only the ones I like. Life’s too short to eat yucky candy.
I would eat the kinds I like and hope that someone else really likes the kind I don’t so that everyone would be happy. But otherwise I would just chuck the gross candy.
This is a trick question because it totally depends on what kind of candy it is! If, for example, it’s a package of either Lifesavers or Starburst, I’d avoid the oranges like the plague. If it’s, say, Hershey’s Miniatures, I’d somehow force myself to plow through all of them equally…even the ones with nuts. :-)
I think I do make myself eat all the kinds. So that it’s FAIR for everyone else!
I never eat candy. Ever.
Ha, ha. That was funny. So I eat the ones I like, then the ones I love and I leave the rest for my husband and/or kiddos. If they have parade candy or something, I totally steal my favorites when they are not looking.
just the ones I like. I don’t want to take up room in my belly for stuff I don’t like :-)
just the ones i like. does this make me selfish? I’d like to think that I’m saving those “other” ones for people who DO like them.
I’m with colorcodedc, I’d eat almost anything covered in chocolate, but if it were a pack of Skittles, I probably wouldn’t eat the green or yellow ones unless I had bought my own bag. Then, I would eat the ones I don’t like as much first, leaving my favorites for last…but I would eat them all.

Um yeah, I usually eat them all. Which you can tell by the size of my ass. Unless there’s somthing god awful like licorice.
Much like my behavior with fancypants bath products I hoard the good ones until last, eating all the least-preferreds first. This is doubtless a particularly bad strategy when it comes to candy, since it usually means I eat through several sub-par pieces before I eventually cave and eat the one I wanted in the first place.
only the ones i like!
I pick and choose.
I have yet to meet a candy I don’t like. :p BUT if I’m eating a bowl of marshmallow cereal (lucky charms, for instance), I’ll SAVE the good stuff, eat the rest, and THEN enjoy the good stuff.
Ya know those heart shaped mints that are around during valentine’s day? I only like the green and yellow ones and I pick through them to find just those colors. It drives my husband batty. Hee-Hee!
Call me selfish, but I eat what I like. In the Hershey’s Minatures bags, I do like everything except for the Mr. Goodbars, and yet I discovered that they’re not SO terrible. My husband likes them, so it’s a fair exchange, and he doesn’t like the dark chocolate, but I do. So I guess we ended up with the right people for us!
I mostly eat the things I like. I would eat things that aren’t my favorite, but there are certain flavors I won’t eat under any circumstances and would probably discreetly spit out if I accidentally ingested one (sour apple being one of them).
I eat what I like, my husband eats what he likes, then we feed the rest to the toddler who doesn’t know the difference.
P.S. I’m starting to like the light blue of the dry wall mud on the bathroom wall, too. It’s nice to see someone else feels the same way.
I eat what I like. I don’t need the calories from food I don’t like. Also: surely SOMEONE likes what I don’t like.
I will usually eat just the ones I like, unless I know someone else likes them too. Then I tend to not eat any, in case the other person wanted them.
