You know what I think is neat and cool about having Google Analytics? It lets me see I have a handful of readers from my geographical location—close enough that we would all shop at the same Target. Isn’t that CRAZY? We could seriously be passing each other in the aisles and not even know it! We could be stopping for lunch at the same McDonald’s! We might even live in the same neighborhood! And we wouldn’t even know! Doesn’t that seem bizarre?
Well, or else it’s people who know me in real life and are secretly reading my blog without telling me, and geez. Buzzkill.
Hair update: some of the orangey color came out in the first couple of shampoos, leaving behind an only slightly peachy blonde. The color is not as good with my complexion as my usual dirt-colored hair, but it is better with my HAIR than my usual dirt color.
Hey, question. If you put “key lime yogurt (2)” on the list, and your husband came home from the grocery store with “can of key lime pie filling (2),” what would YOU do with it? It seems like a very odd food pantry donation indeed. You don’t have enough to eat? Here, have a can of key lime pie filling!
THIS:
is a not-uncommon sight at our house. He just slings his foot up there. And look at the OTHER foot, so far away, and with little toe niblets splayed as if ASKING to be bitten off.
Now, here are the promised end-of-post contest updates for the nosy and the still-in-the-mood-for-contests:
Home2K9 shows the prize she won in Slynnro‘s contest (pretty, pretty prize, Slynnro!) and has her own new contest in the same post.
Here’s the package Under Construction received from My Life, and here’s her new pay-it-forward.
Here’s SaLy’s post about the package she got from me, and also her new pay-it-forward. Which I’m entering because I think it would be really funny if SaLy and I ended up in a loop like that. Her contest ends tonight, so enter quickly!
That picture is freaky! It looks like his foot is growing out of his arm.
I want to know if it was your genes or Paul’s that have contributed to the amazing flexility of Henry!
And your Pay it Forward prize was so adorable! I am already plotting what I am going to send for my next contest (even though I haven’t actually gotten the first prize in the mail yet…sorry Whimzy!) because I think this is so fun!
Babies are AWESOME.
Stat counters are dangerous.
I am already scouring for what I am going to give away in my PiF contest, just as soon as my prize arrives … maybe today?! (I can hope)
Um. Make key lime pie?
(I think I remember a tweet saying that you don’t like pie, but maybe someone else in your family does.)
Alternately, give him the receipt and march him back to the store.
I have a coworker who sits with one of his legs slung up in the air kind of like that. Not QUITE as flexibly, but I’ve definitely walked in on him before with his knee WAY up in the air in a way that looks vaguely unprofessional.
Point being, perhaps this is a habit Henry will keep for life?
I’ve never tried Google Analytics! Fun.
Also, this reminds me it’s about time for me to clean up the highchair for Helen. Rice cereal, here we come….
Okay, so it looks like I win the prize for proscrastinating the most in sending out my prize–shocker. I promise to really, really try to get it out on Monday.
And I think there’s a future for your son at the circus. I couldn’t even distinguish my foot from that of a very large, very hairy man’s these days, my flexibility is so lacking.
Henry is the poster boy for Baby Yoga, apparently.
ALSO. I completely agree with you on the Google Analytics thing. It freaks me out, sometimes, actually, to see how people are REGULARLY getting to my site (really? You google the entire web address? Why not JUST TYPE IT IN, BECAUSE I CAN STILL SEE YOU). and from what geographic location (Some so close! Some so random!).
Oh heavens. That is the cutest picture ever!!
hey swistle…great package you gave away!! wish i woulda won!!! anyhow…could you add my new PIF giveaway to the list? thanks!

Dude, my kid does that with his foot too. It drives me nuts, as he will often rub a piece of food on it and then pop it in his mouth. EW! I mean baby feet are less gross, but still…FEET.
That’s a fabulous picture!
People who read but don’t ever admit it kind of creep me out. I know it’s public, but it’s like your neighbor coming out and peeking around the side of the fence to watch what you’re doing in your front yard. Just come over and say hi. Or even wave.
If it’s not quite enough to make key lime pie (or if you want to tame the tartness a bit), then whip up some cream and fold it in with the key lime pie filling and put it in a graham cracker crust. Or spoon it into cups and crumble graham crackers on top.
You can also use the pie filling to make the No Pudge brownies. Not so much fat free at that point, but tasty just the same.
Anonymous- Good idea! And the pie filling is fat-free too.
Maggie- I think it’s mostly my genes. Or at least, I’m the one with ankles that suddenly give way, and knuckles that bend backward too far for me to hold a pen correctly.
Stimey- That’s right. I’m the one who dislikes pie. I do like graham-cracker-crust pudding pies, though, so maybe I’ll do Barbara’s idea of adding whipped cream to the pie filling, and put it in a graham cracker crust.
Swistle, here’s my pif post. This is still so much fun, I’m enjoying every stage of your contest.

That picture of Henry is amazing! I had to look at it about three times to try to figure out how he had his leg like that – crazy!

I think he’s auditioning to be Cirque de Soleil’s youngest member.
What? Eating pie filling straight from the can isn’t good enough for you?
Harumph.
That is some pretty serious high chair yoga.
