    Happy Birthday, little man!

Every time you post a picture of Henry it makes me smile! Something about his expression is always so cheerful (although I’m sure he has his moments!)

Ugh, a year already! My baby just turned two and I swear someone stole some time from me. I keep promising myself that when Sawyer is born in a few weeks, I’ll figure out a way to slow down time.

Happy birthday, Henry! And yes, holy moly, a year does go by far too quickly – and he looks just chock full of mischief.

Oh! I didn’t know Henry was born on the thirty first! Today’s my Claire’s birthday too!! She’s two! And I CAN’T BELIEVE IT’S GONE SO FAST!! Sweet pictures of the Henry’s. How is he so big already?

Oh, he’s so scrumptious. And Linda’s right, he DOES look a bit crafty. In the best sense, obv.
And also, SNIFF. Because this is just another grim reminder that in three short months MY baby will be a year old too. WTF? Wasn’t I just wandering around like a beached whale complaining to anyone who would listen to me about being pregnant? And now I’m feeling (whisper) baby lust again? NOOOO!!!
Not that I have to tell YOU. I’m sure you’re plotting about another one!

My goodness, he’s almost in College.

Jennifer- He’s a verrrry good-natured baby. To the point of me wondering if he’s going to be one of those “Duuuuuuuude!” guys as an adult, lounging around in a swimsuit all day, with a beer and kickin’ tunes.

Sundry- He is a wily opportunist: if we’re playing in the child-safe room, and someone opens the door, he is silent and fast and out of there before you can say “Close the d…”

Desperate- Oh, I know, right? I’m TOTALLY planning the next one. I don’t quite know how to bring up the subject with Paul, though.

Oh, he is and was so beautiful. That was so quick. I started reading you when you were pregnant with him. Whoosh.

    Happy birthday beautiful Henry.

When Maddie was first born, it seemed like every good-natured old lady told me “enjoy it while you can… they grow up so fast!” I would inwardly roll my eyes and think they were sweet. And OLD.

Then she was born and started eating and rolling over and crawling and walking and talking ALL IN THE SAME DAY. People have tried to convince me that 16 months have passed, but they haven’t. My girl was born YESTERDAY.

Happy Birthday, little Henry. Don’t grow up too fast, k?

Wowza Swistle! I knew Henry and JB’s birthdays were close, but I didn’t realize HOW close! JB will be 1 on Friday. I’ve been perusing all the photos from the past year too. I took 4 photos and photoshopped them into a vignette and made that the invitation to her party. One from the day we brought her home, one of the first time she held her own bottle, a halloween shot and her 9 month/easter pic. It is super cute.

Well Henry (you cute cute CUTE little boy!) JB and I wish you a very happy birthday! Now when I figure out how to slow you two down I’ll let your mommy in on my secret!

    Happy Happy Birthday, Henry!

My “baby” will be 3 soon! Your twins, too, right? Where does the time go?

I was JUST telling my sister-in-law that I was SO SO DONE. Four is enough! That even seeing the new babies that another sister-in-law had and my oldest niece had did NOT make me wish for another tiny newborn. But there’s something about THAT newborn picture. I can’t put my finger on it, but it gave me the slightest twinge of desire for another tiny newborn. I am now off to deal with the other four bickering to convince myself otherwise.

It has NOT been a year since Henry was born and you were telling me that my surprise pregnancy was going to turn out fine. (Which of course it totally did.) This makes me weepy.

    Happy Birthday, Henry.

How dare Henry get so much bigger and so much more adorable than he already was so quickly! I can’t believe it has been a year already.

Also, is it just me or does he look like he is in the midst of planning some sort of cheerio caper in that second photo?

You made me cry! Ok, it’s not hard to do given that I am 28 weeks pregnant, but still. I can’t believe my little baby girl is 21 months old. And I can’t believe that I’m going to have another teeny tiny baby. Thanks for reminding me of the JOY of babies. Sometimes I’m so terrified of having another one, I forget.

    Happy Birthday Big Guy!

It’s been a year already?! Oh my gosh! Happy (belated) birthday to Henry!! :-)

Oh Swistle…if you want a heartbreaker, wait til they turn 18. My baby boy turns 18 tomorrow and it’s just not even fathomable to me.

BTW, Henry is absolutely adorable — what a cutie pie!!

That is the MOST GORGEOUS newborn picture I’ve ever seen. Was it professionally done? And Henry is such a little sweetheart. He is just beautiful. Happy Birthday sweet little boy!

Shelly- Why thank you! I took it my own self! My dad photoshopped out the “Angelica” (brand name of linens or of linen service?) before I sent it out with the birth announcements.

I always tell my son, “Hey, I thought I told you to stop growing?” But for some reason he doesn’t listen to me, must get that from his father.
    Happy Birthday Henry!

What a cute boy! My baby is already four months old and I have caught a case of the Time Passes So Fast, Before I Know It She’ll Be A Year Old Syndrome.

These are my least favorite kinds of posts, in a good way, if that makes sense. But I really get… sick??- is that the word?- when I see time just slip away like that. I’m def. going to be one of those moms who will always remark at “how fast they grow” etc, etc, even when my own babies are adults. Because it’s true. And also because I LOVE BABIES.

Happy Birthday, sweet Henry. Oh, how I am shocked that you are a year old already.
