Steal, Lose, Deal

If your toddler son were given a free See’s chocolate lollipop and you were not given one, and if he slobbered it for awhile but then got distracted and forgot about it, you’d give it a quick rinse and finish it yourself, right? No brainer, right?

I’ll say this: Any political candidate whose support-raising phone call wakes up a napping child AUTOMATICALLY LOSES MY VOTE.

I have to stop browsing Amazon’s toy sales, because they are DRIVING ME WILD. I bought a 2-pack of Melissa & Doug dress-up puzzles for $5.99! A Fisher-Price Alphabus for $6.90! This cute little Leapfrog stacker for $2.99! A My Little Pony 3-pack (shout-out to 1983!) for $4.50! A whole bunch of assorted Cube World things that Rob and William want but that I’d thought were not something we could afford! The Leapfrog lowercase letters pack for our fridge phonics! Leapfrog caterpillar for $5.99! I am in 7th Shopping Heaven! Must! Stop!

I would totally eat the lollipop too. Also, I wasn’t even born in 1983 and I still loved My Little Ponies. Those things just do not go out of style.

Rinse, Shminse. Just pop that sucker in your mouth. Lot’s of slobber you say? Okay, maybe a quick rinse is in order. But yeah, it’s definitely fair game.

What I want to know is: Who did you REALLY buy those My Little Ponies for? ‘Cus I would totally by myself some. Cotton Candy Pony RULES FOR-EVAH.

I’d only rinse it if I saw it get caught up in my kid’s runny nose.

Also, those toy sales remind me of the flowers you get after a loser boyfriend is mean. They’re the “Honey, I love you, I’ll never do it again” sales. I hear the siren call of temptation calling. . .the toy companies want me back, even though they’ve been very naughty.

Oh man, thank goodness I heeded the voice of reason (aka my bank account) and ONLY bought enough to get the Free! Super! Saver! Shipping!

That is like, free stuff, man.

Swistle you are very wonderful and very very bad all at the same time.

Why is it that buying on line seems less likely to drain my bank account than actually buying in person. I think it’s someting about no signature required in online purchases. At any rate, these are solid deals and now I’m wondering what my mom did with my My Little Ponies?

The candy = fair. I, in fact, have a Sees lollipop, that was previously licked, in my kitchen right now.

I hate phone calls that interupt nap-time. But we have a new phone now that has a “do not disturb” feature on it. I like it (when I remember to use it during naptime).

And the one-click ordering is just waaay too easy. Glad to see I’m not the only one keeping Melissa & Doug in business this Christmas.

Ditto, Saly. I didn’t know they made lower case letters!

I’m not even a mom, but when my nieces oh-so-sweetly offer whatever candy they’ve started on to me, I’m unable to resist. I think baby drool makes the world a little yummier.

I would rinse but yes, I would finish the sucker. I have purchased 99% of my gifts on Amazon this year. I picked up the Fisher-Price® Learning Mower™ for 5.69 yesterday. I got the Hasbro Playskool Let’s Play Together Go & Grow Giraffe last week for 10.00. It is back up to 34.99 today. Amazon deals are addictive.

How much should I have listened to Swistle’s Old Navy rant the other day? Apparently more than I did. I got my email of doom and gloom and “we don’t have that in stock” from them today. I will always listen to you from now on. I guess I took the,”Ha, what happened to Swistle will never happened to me” route and got burned.

I can not believe some of the sales that Amazon has been having on toys. I have been placing an order DAILY. But, everything is so CHEAP! I am getting 20 and 30 dollar toys for FIVE STINKING DOLLARS. Someone take away my computer!

Natalie- It’s so hard to say for sure exactly WHO those ponies are for.

SaLy- I bought TWO SETS! Now we can make words that have more than one of a letter!

Mrs. Grumpy- I don’t listen to myself, either. Old Navy stuff is too much exactly what I want. I can’t stop! But I don’t know what I’ll do if they screw things up again.

That fridge phonics toy is AWESOME! I bought one when they first came out, and now I see that they come with numbers. Mine didn’t come with numbers. boo. But I immediately bought the lowercase numbers when I saw them. Wonderful for learning.

Oh, and I’m giving my daughters the 40 Ponies I had from 1983 era (Yes I kept them. I loved them that much). I can’t wait.

I am disappointed that Google Reader now only shows the UNREAD posts in the window, since I can’t remember if I’ve commented on some of the older ones! ARGG! Well, this is not your problem and also WHO CARES!

I don’t rinse either because I dislike that coating of WATER. Ruins the taste in a way that slobber does not. Sad but true.

You mean I was really supposed to let the kids have the See’s lollipops? I thought when I crossed my fingers and winked as I tucked them away in my purse that the See’s lady knew they were really for me…

Ummm, yes to eating the See’s lollipop… I totally LOVED those as a kid and forgot about them (no See’s in the Midwest or at least not in Indiana, Michigan or Wisconsin that I have seen…) the past ten years.

WtoW- I live in Ohio, and my husband found Sees candy at a mall here. They told him they were just here for the Christmas season. Maybe you CAN find one around you. But actually their prices online are the same as at the mall.
